Accreditation And Recognition:

American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) – ITL is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for technical competence in the field of electrical testing. The accreditation is granted under certification number 1152.01 and covers a large list of tests and an approval for meeting of ISO/IEC 17025 “Testing and Calibration Labs”.
Established in 1978 as a non-profit, public service, membership society, A2LA is dedicated to the formal recognition of competent testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and reference material producers.

ITL is an accredited certification body in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065 under the procedures of the A2LA.

FDA – U.S. Food and Drug Administration

The FDA ASCA program is voluntary and targets medical device manufacturers undergoing 510(k) premarket notification and other regulatory reviews required in order to sell their devices on the US market.

ITL is the first in ISRAEL, to become an Accredited Testing Laboratory by the US FDA – TL 23 the voluntary ASCA Program is intended to enhance product reviewers, and device manufacturers, confidence in medical device testing, which should decrease the need for the FDA to request additional information regarding testing FDA grants ASCA Recognition to qualified testing laboratories to perform premarket testing for medical device companies.

ITL facilities are registered by the American Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for measurements used by applications
 for certifications under registration number 90715.

FCC
requires that all electronic devices with unintentional radio-frequency
radiators that are entering the commercial market in the United States
are regulated if they employ clocks or oscillators, operate at a
frequency of greater than 9 kHz and use digital techniques, which
includes almost every product that contains a microprocessor.

IECEx

IECEx is the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Environment.

It uses quality assessment specifications that are based on International Standards prepared by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Ex certification – as a member of the IECEx, ITL provides testing and certification for equipment for global access intended for hazardous and explosive environment. IECEx certification serves as basis for EU ATEX, ITL Mark and North American approvals.

The Certification and Engineering Bureau of Industry Canada provides a certification service for both radio and terminal equipment in Canada. Testing of either radio or terminal equipment, to establish compliance with Industry Canada standards, is performed in private sector laboratories. In the case of terminal equipment these laboratories are required to be approved in accordance with the provisions of a departmental procedure.

VCCI | Japan

ITL is a formal member (#821) at the VCCI program. As a VCCI recognized laboratory, ITL supports Israeli manufacturers in providing VCCI Reports and by and/or receiving VCCI approvals for their products. Testing is conducted in ITL labs.
The VCCI is a Japanese standard developed by the Voluntary Control Council for Interference.
When a product carries the VCCI marking it indicates that it was tested for compliance with the VCCI standards.

NATA | Australia

Recognized Testing Authorities (Telecomms). Telecommunications equipment classified as requiring testing to compliance level 3 in the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s (ACMA) Telecommunications Labeling (Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Notice 2001 must have testing to Australian-technical standards done by a Recognized Testing Authority (RTA).
