Ergonomic principles are used to improve the “fit” between the worker and the workplace, typically for machinery and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
A practical approach to Ergonomics considers the match between the person, the equipment they use, the work processes and the work environment. A person’s capability, physical attributes and work habits must be recognized in order to improve ergonomic factors in the workplace. Product features and measurements are taken and matched against specific construction requirements.

Laser products must comply with a variety of legal requirements and standards. In the US it must be registered by the FDA’s division, the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), and in Europe it must receive a CE marking.
